There was a period just over 3 years ago when (even I as a male) I was suspecting I was being stalked (which would've been by a couple other males). In the meantime,, I've moved some 360 miles away from that spot,,, and presumably they do NOT know where I've moved to. One of the (suspected) stalkers received a DUI about that time. Since he temporarily lost his Drivers License he had to move OUT of the area the opposite direction which I moved (I moved West and he had to move East). Good that one was to move,, and hopefully he does NOT know the specific town where I presently live (in case he gets his old Drivers License back and is able to return to this state). But hey, almost 3 years have passed since all that.

This was great advice however I can’t help but to despise my MIL. My husband was adopted and his caretaker never told him she loved him, never hugged or kissed him, no type of attention and if he did get attention, it was only if he did something wrong. Other than that she used him as if he was her slave. And now I’m left with an avoidant man who I feel doesn’t genuinely love me but is with me because he’s desperately wants to feel loved and now that he has it, the only way he knows how to show it is by finding things to do for me. When all I want is his time and attention. I hate that that woman adopted him! And I hate that I can’t express this to him because I know he’ll get angry with me about this!

My dad got with another woman (who was married at the time) just 6 weeks after my mom died. I learned that this woman also secretly went to my mom's funeral. Then I heard a rumor (a very probable one given the timeline) that my dad was already in communication of some sort with this woman even while my mom was alive and dying from cancer. My dad has not stopped trying to get my brother and I to accept her because she's "good to him". I don't trust either of them. They are a pair of cheaters who only care about their own feelings. A good reminder that just because you're an adult and a parent, it doesn't make you mature. Not one bit.

During initial phase of my relationship (first 2 years) ,she indeed makes me feel invalidated and makes me feel stupid. And, it was really hurtful. (eye rolling, and feeling of disgust). She acknowledged it. however, she does get angry sometimes, speak in loud tone, etc. how do i navigate and tell her, if I am asking her to speak in light tone, or watch her tone, or dont speak harsh words to me... its not about I dont accept her. My husband does this. He brags about himself and then tries to fool around with me. It’s so gross. I feel so turned off, I just try to make up some reason I don’t want to be close to him. It’s a gross feeling. No way in hell I’d want to be intimate with someone after that.

I love your insight. Though for me, while I do feel loyalty to my partner, I don't want to pretend they wouldn't cheat under the right circumstances. Statistically, you are inside the percentage of cheating couples. Christian or no.

Nevertheless, the grieving after finding out is as bad as any other type of affair or infidelity. What made a big difference for me was reading their text exchanges to establish how deep they were in their relationship, talking with a couple of his coworkers (since the AP was a co-worker and I wanted to figure out what type of person I was dealing with), and husband's willingness to go cold turkey with the affair, and getting permission to work from home versus being at the office. We are lucky his boss accommodated my husband's request to make our recovery possible. Still a lot of work ahead of us, taking it step-by-step and trusting the process, is all I can count on right now.

I only wish this stuff on marriage and cheating was available 30 years ago. I sure could've use this information back than. Our marriage relationship end up, what I call it back than was a brother and a sister love relationship. It was like living in the same house with no Intimacy
